ANGELA GHEORGHIU RETURNING TO "HER" LONDON TRAVIATA

Angela Gheorghiu is very much looking forward to the upcoming performances La Traviata in the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, returning to Richard Eyre's production which brought her such international fame and acclaim in 1994. It was her debut in this magnificent role, the BBC cleared out its schedules to broadcast the opera. The performance was also filmed and recorded by Decca. Newspapers and magazines noticed at that time: “A star is born”.
