Angela Gheorghiu is stepping into the title role of Tosca in the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London these days. The opening night took place on the 9th of July, two more performances will follow: on the 14th and 16th of July. Jonathan Kent's new production of Tosca was created in 2006 for Angela Gheorghiu. After having also interpreted Tosca in Benoit Jacqot's film in 2000 and making her role debut in the Royal Opera House in 2006, this is the second time Angela Gheorghiu interprets the role on stage.
